Childhood and youth

Chloe was born on April 18, 1992, in Chicago. Her father, Bennet, is of Chinese descent, and her mother, Stephanie Lynn Crane, is often referred to as a white American with Caucasian roots. Chloe is not the only child, there are six children in the family, three of whom are her siblings and two who are adopted.

Despite everything, the Wangs strived to provide their children with whatever they needed so that they did not lack anything and could receive a solid education. Her father was an investment banker, while her mother was a general practitioner.

At the age of 15, the future actress graduated from St. Ignatius College Prep. During her studies, she demonstrated her creativity as she often took part in concerts and competitions.

It all started with music

The Second City Training Center is a well-known organization in Chicago. This is a training center that promotes aspiring artists and organizes shows and productions for them. Children and teenagers learn to act and improvise on stage here. Chloe started attending it when she was twelve years old.

Producers spotted her musical talent and success right away and felt it was best for the young girl to begin her singing career in China. She relocated to China at the age of 15, where she was supervised by her grandmother. She had to learn Chinese, namely the Mandarin dialect, at a Shanghai school. Chloe spent some time living in Beijing.

There, she wrote songs “Uh Oh” and “Every Day in Between”, which she performed at a charity concert at the Zebra Music Festival in 2009. This event was organized to raise funds for the victims of the 2008 Sichuan earthquake.

The girl made her debut appearance on stage in front of a large audience. The show’s TV audience soon grew to over 100 million people. Following this performance, Wang began to receive lucrative contracts, and her photos flashed in the Chinese press and were posted on billboards on busy streets. At the same time, Chloe signed her first collaborations, with Nike and Umbro.

In 2011, the singer released her debut single “Uh Oh” in both English and Chinese. In the same year, a music video for this song was released and broadcast on MTV China. Popularity grew, but the girl decided to move back to the United States.

Acting career

After returning in 2010, Wang appeared on American television as a contestant on the dance show “The Nightlife”. Chloe began going to auditions but received a lot of rejections. The directors claimed that the girl was unsuitable for roles due to her Asian features. In this regard, she decides to change her surname from Wang to Bennet (her father’s name).

Fortune smiled on Chloe only in 2012. She then landed a minor role in the television series “Nashville”. In the winter of 2013, her filmography was expanded with another TV series, “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” In it, Bennet brilliantly played the role of Daisy Skye Johnson.

To look as convincing as possible on the screen, the girl had to put herself through intense boxing and kickboxing training sessions for two months.

In 2017, Chloe auditioned for the musical film “Valley Girl”, for which she was cast as Karen.

Despite her busy schedule, Bennet found time for a romantic relationship. In 2011, she dated Tony Oller, an actor and singer. However, due to differing perspectives on life, the couple broke up. In 2013, Chloe had an affair with friend and colleague Austin Nichols. In 2017, they split up. Following another failed relationship, the artist did not give interviews about her personal life.

Chloe continues to impress her admirers with her acting skills in the television series “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.”
